Hello everybody! I’m back online after having a little digital detox over the last fortnight. Just a well earned break to refresh and unwind – but more on that in another post. I’m sure I’ll have a stack of posts to catch up on and I’m looking forward to reading about what adventures you’ve all been on lately. I’m reigniting my return with a submission for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – this week the theme is single flowers. I have to confess, taking photos of flowers isn’t really something that I did until my most recent trip. Despite that, I do have a photo which I thought might be great for this week’s theme. This photo is of an Impala Lily … it was growing just outside the entrance to the Africa on Foot lodge that I stayed at in Kruger. I really love the vivid pink and the contrast with the white … such lovely colours!
It’s a gorgeous flower and a lovely photo Kim. Glad to have you back online, hope you had a good rest and “digital detox” 🙂

I’m so glad to hear that Kim. It’s so important to maintain our friendships which can sometimes suffer from lack of time and effort. Good for you. I’m well and looking forward to the month ahead. Enjoy catching up, talk soon 🙂 xo

That sort of pink is one of my absolute favorite colors! I think I could live in a home with that color!! (Mixed with lots of white stuff and some black details.. ).
Great photo! 😊

Thank you! It’s so striking, isn’t it? I think your fantasy home with pink, white and black sounds like it would be quite glamorous too ! 😀

Don’t think I’ve ever seen an impala lily before. Beautiful. 🙂

Thank you, Irene! I hadn’t seen one before either 😊 This was my first one and I was just struck by how pretty it is. In fact, I’m fairly sure it’s the first flower I’ve ever taken a photo of!

Beautiful. Similar to the national flower of S Korea, a hibiscus. I hope everything is okay, K.

Thank you, Diana! You’re right, it’s not too dissimilar to a hibiscus. A smaller version really! Yes, everything is good. I’ve just taken some time away from blogging & I’ve been travelling too. Hopefully I’ll return to it shortly!
