The theme foe Cee’s Black & White Photography Challenge this week is Letters W or X. I didn’t have anything that could do for X, so I’ve tried to double up for W. As in, one photo with two W’s in it. So …. here is a winding dirt road through the desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan! One of my favourite places on earth – it’s a landscape photographer’s dream!
Great shot. So moody

Lovely picture. Though if it wasn’t for that plant there, I would have assumed that it was the moon. 😉

Thank you, Bernadette! Oh you’re so right. I didn’t think of that 😀 although I often think it’s looks like Mars (in colour, it’s pretty orange!).

What unique, interesting rock formations. Beautifully photographed. It really evokes your word – winding.

What great shots! I ‘d love to try BnW one of these days but color is soooo pretty!😉

Thanks, Marquessa! I agree, colour is lovely! The original of this photo is in colour & it’s such a favourite of mine. I love those burnt orange colours of the desert. I’ve just converted it to B&W in Lightroom for this challenge 🙂

Its lovely! I’ve always wanted to take a course in photography (with a real camera)but instead I’m playing around on IG right now as an outlet… 😊

What an amazing landscape Kim. How long before your next trip? 🙂

Thanks, Miriam. It was quite “other-worldly”. I’ve still got 2 months to go until the next trip. It feels like I’ve been waiting in limbo forever!

Thanks so much! You know, it never occurred to me before to convert it to bnw but I’m pleasantly surprised with result. I shall pop on over and check out your blog too 😀

I love the contrast that black & white almost always throws up. In this case, the cragginess of those rocks in the wilderness of the desert.

Exactly! I so agree. I think my eye for contrast is still developing, particularly in envisaging colour in bnw. Thanks so much for your feedback, it’s much appreciated 😀
