Today’s post for the A-Z Challenge is a little different. I’m not taking us to a location starting with “G” as I’ve done with the previous letters. I’m going to tell you a story about some memorable guests on an African safari in late August 2015. My friend Geraint & I were staying at nThambo Tree Camp in the Klaserie Private Reserve in Kruger National Park, South Africa. This amazing treehouse style lodge is one of the few places he & I will be returning to on our upcoming trip in August this year … that should give you a hint at how wonderful this particular safari lodge is! It was our fourth night of safari and as is normal practice we set out for our late afternoon game drive around 4pm.

CB&W: hiding or camouflaged

This week’s theme for Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge is … hiding or camouflaged. Those who have read some of my travel posts will know that I love South Africa and the wildlife encounters to be had in the magnificent Kruger National Park. Part of the thrill of a safari is finding the animals … it’s just incredible how difficult they can be to spot! I’ve converted two of my photos from my latest trip into black and white for submission to this challenge …

Time for a new theme for Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge … this time it’s Group. I won’t lie, when I first saw the theme I was thinking ” I don’t have any group shots!”. You see, my first thought on seeing the word “group” was a photo of a group of people. I have a thing about people photos … I just don’t like taking them. I don’t know why. I just want to photograph landscapes and wildlife 🙂
